Springtime Memories…

March, instead of April. It was always a memorable occasion for our family. Every year, after church, we would travel about twenty miles into the hills of Virginia to enjoy Easter with Uncle Dave’s family. Uncle Dave was superintendent of the Sunday School near his home and it was a yearly special occasion for everyone from his church as well as his family and neighbors to rush to his place for dinner and a magnificent Easter Egg Hunt.

Following all planned activities, some of the visitors would head for the wooded area, where a huge swing had been set up. Two tall trees were about ten feet apart and equal in great height. A swing had been erected by placing an equally tall log as a cross bar high in the air. Cables were attached, used to complete the sturdy swing.

Once a person had access to the swing and was seated, the ride could go on forever! You had to be willing to part with the swing after a good ride for there was always someone who was waiting and wanted to use it.

With all that is happening in our world today, don’t allow your good memories to fade away. Take time to remember and make the most of your special occasions and way of life.

Have a wonderful Easter.
